  • The biggest unknown: we don't know what their product looks like. By all visible signals they're behind — but this is the competitor to watch most closely.
  • 📝Recently added formal notation — validating the direction TempoTaps has taken from day one.
  • 🧹Started deleting "is this an app?" comments from their posts as soon as competitors appeared. Protecting their narrative actively.

  • 💰People are already paying $9.99 for premium — visible from gameplay posts on social media where paid features are unlocked. Willingness to pay is confirmed.
  • 🐌v1.0 two months ago, v1.1 (level creator premium) one month ago, v1.2 ("added stop button") today. Moving slow and clearly behind.
  • Poor UX, no timing feedback, no music, no real progression. Very rough product — but charging for it and getting paid.
  • 🆚TempoTaps already has a better level creator — and it's free during beta. With MIDI import on the roadmap, the gap will be enormous.
What we learn$9.99 is a validated price point even for a poor product. Ours is dramatically better — and we should price with confidence.

  • 👥Advertise an app, but it's just a Telegram bot. Just launched a new website today with what looks like a web app — though the focus seems to be shifting toward mentorship and paid feedback.
  • Random rhythms only, no music, no feedback, no progression. Not a real product threat.
  • 📣Their content consistency and distribution approach is excellent relative to what they're distributing. Study the playbook carefully.
What we learnCommunity and content can substantially outperform product quality at the early stage. Rhythm content alone — no app — builds massive audiences.
